International Vision Sterling Silver Flatware 7-Pc Setting Service for 8, 56 pcs

  

The featured 1960s set of vintage Mid-Century Modern International sterling flatware is in the Vision pattern designed by Ronald Hayes Pearson and patented in 1961. This discontinued pattern has distinctive clean and modern inspired lines. The line is featured in a book titled "Modernism in American Silver". The ad stated that the set "Makes A Modern Home Ultra-modern" and new forms for a "Skyward Age".

The most distinguishing characteristic of each piece is a very simple and innovative handle turned 90 degrees. Of note, the pattern was featured at the International exhibition of the 1964 New York World's Fair in the Moon Dome, place settings for the Moon Room table. This set includes: 56 total pieces. (solid sterling silver cast handles, steel blades).
